Full Job Description

The Bakery Production Assistant is a key member of our baking team, responsible for supporting daily baking and prep operations, especially during the high-demand seasons. This role is essential in ensuring consistent product quality, maintaining kitchen ﬂow, and supporting team goals during a period of transition and growth.

Core Responsibilities

Execute daily baking and prep tasks in accordance with production schedules
Support opening operations with timeliness, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ensure products meet established quality and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Collaborate with team members and communicate needs or issues proactively
Provide additional support to the team during peak periods, such as holidays

Skills & Experience

Basic baking knowledge - experience with laminated doughs, cake and cookie decorating, and advanced baking skills preferred (and compensation will be commensurate with skill and experience level!)
At least 2 years of experience with pastry kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.)
Team-oriented with clear communication and a collaborative attitude
Ability to follow recipes and production guides accurately
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role

Expectations

Overnight Shifts (usually 10 pm - 6 am)
Willingness to learn and follow established baking methods and systems
Comfortable working independently in a structured production environment
Strong work ethic, time management skills, and attention to detail
Must be available for some early morning opening shifts and weekends
Able to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Must have a reliable, independent way to get to work (your own car or a ride) -- we provide an indoor parking space for overnight shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
