Full Job Description

INDUSTRIAL SEWER – Compensation: $20-$24/hr.

This role is initially temporary with the potential to transition into a permanent, full-time position.

We are currently seeking an INDUSTRIAL SEWER to join our manufacturing partner in Frankfort. Compensation is set between $20-$24 per hour, depending on your level of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Our manufacturing client in Frankfort is looking for a proficient sewer with experience handling soft goods and heavy-duty materials like leather. We are also happy to consider versatile sewing professionals interested in part-time work.

Interpret work orders, patterns, technical schematics, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Execute sewing of standard production items and subcomponents by following established SOPs and instructions.
Ensure consistency by adhering to templates, patterns, and approved product samples.
Utilize various tools such as measuring tapes, drills, and bag sealers to assist in the final packaging process.
Organize and prepare necessary materials for production.
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure high standards.
Maintain precise documentation of all completed production tasks.
Help maintain a clean and organized workspace for the entire team.

Location: Frankfort, IL

Schedule and Shift Information

Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Part-time arrangements are available, provided you can commit to at least 25 hours per week within the standard shift window.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a professional sewer.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, patterns, and work orders to ensure production accuracy.
Proven background working with heavy-duty fabrics.

Compensation and Benefits

We provide weekly pay and a robust benefits package for our team members, including:

Consistent weekly compensation.
Access to insurance options through Benefits in a Card (BIC).
Compliance with the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act.
Eligible employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually, with usage beginning 90 days after your start date.
401(k) retirement plan with company matching for qualifying staff.

401(k) Details: Eligibility requires one year of service, a minimum of 1,000 hours worked, and being at least 21 years old. Enrollment dates are January 1st or July 1st following eligibility. The company matches 100% of the first 3% of your contributions, plus 50% of the next 2%, for a maximum company match of 4%.
