About Us:

Ditch Witch of the Rockies is the authorized dealer of Ditch Witch, Subsite, Hammerhead, American Augers and other lines of underground construction equipment. We are dedicated to servicing the needs of contractors, utilities, governmental agencies, landscapers, and various other users of our equipment.

Position Summary:

The Construction Equipment Mechanic will be part of a dedicated service team supporting and servicing the various brands of equipment that we sell. We are searching for an experienced and motivated heavy equipment mechanic to join our team in Brighton.

Job Responsibilities:

· This position performs safety-sensitive functions including but not limited to, the operation of motor vehicles, other vehicles, equipment, machinery and power tools.

· Performs maintenance and repairs on customer equipment, which may include heavy equipment, tractor/trailers, and other motor vehicles.

· Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.

· Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.

· Examines critical parts and systems.

· Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, may include welding.

· Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance and prepares quotes for customers.

· Visits job sites to inspect machinery as needed.

· Test machines to confirm safe and proper operation.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent mechanical repair skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to read service and repair manuals.

· Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Insurable driving record required.

· Two years of related experience preferred.

· Commercial driver’s license preferred.

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

· Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with moving equipment and many odors present.

· Workdays of 9 hours or more, with overtime on very little notice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $42.00 per hour
