Full Job Description

Responsible for implementing EHS training, work practices and controls under the EHS Manager.

Specific responsibilities may include:

· Perform Hazard Identification Inspections and Audits.

· Provide shop floor support throughout all activities.

· Assist in the development and delivery of safety-related production processes.

· To assist and monitor for an effective emergency response.

· Promote and coaches’ employees on behavior-based safety principles.

· Enforcing established OneWest safety policies and standards.

· Active participant of OneWest Safety Committees.

· Assist in providing safety training as needed or requested.

· Retrieve and submit quarterly stormwater samples as required per SWPPP.

· Assist HSE Manager as needed

· Continually foster a safe working environment.

· Enforce stop work authority for employees.

· Support divisions with incidents/ near miss reporting.

· Periodic evaluation and update of SDS binders.

· Conduct Accident / Incident Root Cause Analysis.

· Conduct Accident / Incident reporting in a system environment.

· Performs inspections, investigations, and analysis to minimize the potential for accidental losses or environmental releases.

· Maintain Environmental compliance and safety as a core value of the organization.

· Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local HSE compliance.

· Maintaining site management involvement in safety and environmental program planning, training, organization and implementation.

· Drives action for the risk management program for the site.

· Ensures all site HSE Key Performance indicators are achieved within agreed-upon timelines

· Other duties as assigned.

1.0 REQUIREMENTS

1.1 EDUCATION AND TRAINING

· High School Diploma.

· Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two- year college preferred.

· OSHA related certification and ability to understand and explain related standards/requirements.

1.2 EXPERIENCE

· Minimum 3 years’ related experience in the manufacturing industry and production safety experience or equivalent.

· Experience working with high performance teams.

1.3 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· Skills/specialties include environmental compliance, OSHA compliance, OSHA compliance, Safety Compliance, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene, EHS Management Specialist.

· Quality orientation and high attention to detail.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Thorough understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations as they relate to the company’s business.

1.4 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY

· Must be able to stand, and/or walk for up to 3 hours at a time.

· Must be able to exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. of force frequently.

· Must be able to vertically lift 35 lb. object 3 foot high.

· Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.

· Exposure to production environment.

· Exposure to hot and cold weather.

2.0 OTHER

· Detail oriented

· Produces error-free work.

· Works with minimal supervision.

· Flexible and able to adapt to our dynamic environment.
