Full Job Description

German-Bliss Equipment, an 86+ year-old agricultural and construction equipment dealership, is seeking a detail-driven Part-Time Accounts Payable Representative to support our Princeville, IL location. This position is focused primarily on Parts Department vendor accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, reconciled properly, and paid on time. The right candidate will bring precision, accountability, and the ability to manage high transaction volume in a dealership environment.

Schedule: Part-time (approximately 20–30 hours per week)

Location: On-site in Princeville, IL

Primary Responsibilities: Parts Vendor Accounts Payable

Process high-volume parts vendor invoices daily
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
Verify quantities, pricing, freight, discounts, and terms
Code invoices accurately to the appropriate GL accounts
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Communicate directly with parts vendors regarding payment status and invoice questions
Maintain strong vendor relationships by ensuring timely and accurate payment

Accounting & Administrative Support

Maintain organized digital and physical AP files
Assist with month-end close related to parts payables
Support internal controls and audit processes
Work closely with the Parts Manager and Accounting team to resolve variances
Monitor aging and ensure adherence to vendor payment terms

Qualifications

Prior accounts payable experience required
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Comfortable working within accounting and ERP systems
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional communication skills
High integrity and accountability

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience in a dealership or parts-intensive environment
Understanding of inventory purchasing and vendor reconciliation
Familiarity with agricultural or construction equipment industry
