Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Pultrusion Operator, where you'll play a vital role in producing high-quality composite materials through the pultrusion process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and materials, ensuring efficient operations and top-tier product standards. As a key contributor, you'll be instrumental in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor pultrusion machines to produce continuous profiles from raw materials such as fibers and resins.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and finished products using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to specifications.
Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, identifying defects or deviations and implementing corrective actions promptly.
Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage procedures.
Maintain detailed production records, shift logs, and quality documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with safety standards.
Assist in fabrication, assembly, or secondary operations such as cutting or finishing using hand tools or press brake machines as needed.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fiberglass extrusion.
Familiarity with fiberglass processing techniques and quality inspection tools such as micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
Understanding of safety protocols related to plastics handling, machining operations, and warehouse activities.
