Full Job Description

Position overview:

The Front Desk Manager plays an integral part in our ability to provide quality services and retain members by providing the best personalized attention to our members. This manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the Front Desk by consistently providing leadership and support for members, guests, employees and colleagues. We want to provide the type of service that one would expect from a high-end health and wellness center.

The Front Desk Manager supervises approximately 5 to 8 employees in several classifications but also plays a vital supportive role in assisting with all departments. This position oversees the areas of the Front Desk and juice bar, as well as supervises all Front Desk associates. This important position is the face and heartbeat of the MAC and the overall communications hub. This successful candidate will be expected to actively meet the needs of our members and guests and will have a thorough understanding of the MAC’s services, programs, and staff.

This individual will be selected for their supervisory and customer service experience, for their outgoing personality and above all, for providing a positive member experience. This position requires a highly motivated manager who has a proven record of operating departments with successful environments and a positive culture. We are looking for a leader that leads by example, is a highly effective multitasker, an active listener, firm but fair leadership style that empowers their employees to make tough decisions, and raises standards through professional and positive feedback and culture change.

This position requires a forward thinking, reliable, detail oriented person that can be flexible to meet the needs of the business. This person must be capable of enforcing policy and rules while also diffusing situations and communicating in an effective and compassionate manner.

The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Manager is to assist in day to day operations to include proper staffing that ensures the reliable opening, operating and closing of the facility, and to be the frontline point of contact for members.

Once the Front Desk Manager has gone through training and installed prefered management changes, they will be expected to have at least 70% of work hours as scheduled Front Desk shifts, with the remainder of their time as management responsibilities.

Job Qualifications:

· Supervisory experience required

· High School diploma required; college preferred

· Experience with budgeting and scheduling preferred

· Ability to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail and being pleasant with members and staff

· Ability to multi-task; Ability to complete paperwork with accuracy

· Possess excellent verbal and written skills, can follow direction and give direction clearly

· Knowledge of basic computer skills a must, including experience with Word and Excel required

· Believes in service with a smile

· Brings enthusiasm for the facility and for the job
