Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Trauma PCU / Stepdown | Nights | Marshfield, WI

Pay Rate:

Travel: $70/hour
Local: $63/hour

Travel Neuro Trauma PCU RN Opportunity – Marshfield, Wisconsin

We're hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week travel assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-acuity Neuro Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU), caring for patients with complex neurological, trauma, and medical conditions in a Level II Trauma Center.

If you have strong PCU, Stepdown, ICU, or Medical-Surgical experience and enjoy caring for critically ill patients, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Trauma PCU / Stepdown
Location: Marshfield, WI
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Schedule: Night Shift
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 48 Hours Per Week (36-hour option may also be available)
Care Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotating Holidays
Floating: May float to other Medical-Surgical specialty units as needed
Call Requirement: None

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Neuro Trauma and Progressive Care patients
Assess, monitor, and manage patients with neurological, trauma, and medical conditions
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and titratable drips
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Care for patients with tracheostomies and ventilator support
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic medical record
Deliver safe, evidence-based patient care while responding quickly to emergencies

Minimum Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Stepdown, ICU, or Medical-Surgical experience
Acute care experience within the past year
Current BLS Certification (AHA)
Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Experience managing titratable IV drips
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Tracheostomy experience required; ventilator experience strongly preferred
