Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist specializing in milling operations to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC milling machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machining, blueprint interpretation, and technical programming will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. Duties

Operate CNC milling machines, including Fanuc-controlled equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient production of parts.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise components.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and modify existing programs as needed for optimal performance.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to maintain high levels of machine reliability and safety.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly or minor repairs when necessary.
Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspections, and quality control records in compliance with manufacturing standards.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CNC milling machines with a strong understanding of CNC programming languages such as G-code.
Proficiency in reading complex blueprints and applying GD&T principles for precise machining.
Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and CNC lathe operations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar programs for part design review.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feeds, speeds, and other machining parameters.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination; ability to work with power tools and hand tools safely.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials when required; forklift certification is a plus.
