Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, and solution architecture. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems while ensuring optimal performance and security. The System Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs. Local candidates with additional network troubleshooting knowledge will be considered priority. This is an "in office" position daily.

Responsibilities

Design and implement service-oriented architecture and solution architecture for various applications.
Oversee IT infrastructure management, including cloud security measures and system hardening practices.
Collaborate with development teams to create robust system designs
Manage system administration tasks across various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
Implement load balancing techniques to optimize application performance and reliability.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage information security protocols to protect sensitive data.
Utilize tools such as AWS, Azure, VMware, HyperV and Kubernetes for cloud deployment and orchestration.
Write scripts in languages such as PowerShell for automation of tasks.
Ensure compliance with best practices in computer networking, firewall management, VPN configurations, and DNS settings.
Configuration and on-site installation of server and storage environments.
Experience with managing and troubleshooting issues in a M365 environment.
Troubleshooting physical components of server/storage devices.
Experience with Veeam deployment and management for backup and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience in systems engineering with a focus on system architecture design.
Experience with virtualization technologies like ESXi and WDS.
Proficient in using tools for debugging applications and managing version control.
Knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks and vulnerability management strategies is highly desirable.
