Marine Construction Foreman (Docks, Bulkheads & Friction Crane)

Yelton Construction is seeking an experienced Marine Construction Foreman to lead one of our barge crews building docks, bulkheads, and other waterfront structures throughout North Florida.

This is a full-time, year-round position with an established marine contractor celebrating 40 years in business. We are looking for a proven leader with hands-on marine construction experience who can safely lead a crew, maintain exceptional workmanship, and keep projects moving efficiently. Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a marine construction crew.
Construct timber and composite docks, bulkheads, seawalls, and other waterfront structures.
Operate a friction crane from a barge.
Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Plan daily work activities and keep projects on schedule.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and job site organization.
Train and mentor crew members.
Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
Work alongside the crew as needed to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of marine construction experience.
Experience constructing docks and bulkheads is required.
Experience operating a friction crane is required.
Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred.
Strong carpentry skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Dependable, organized, and safety-minded.
Comfortable working on barges and around the water.
Valid driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits:

$30.00–$40.00+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Overtime available (typically 45–55 hours per week).
Full-time, year-round employment.
