Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Baker/Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will bake and decorate cupcakes, as well as custom cakes and a variety of other baked goods. In this role, you will also be preparing scratch batters, frostings and fillings, as well as offering customer service. Your creativity, culinary skills, and commitment to food safety will help us deliver exceptional products and memorable experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your baking talents while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace in an often, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cupcakes, cakes, cookies, bars and more, following established recipes and quality standards
Decorate cupcakes and cakes with specific designs, frosting, fondant, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
Package baked goods securely for display or delivery, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
Assist in bakery production tasks as needed to support the bakery operations
Follow all food handling and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Customer service and Phone interactions

Requirements

Proven experience in baking, cake decorating, or pastry preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
Excellent customer service skills to understand and fulfill customer requests effectively
Demonstrated ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining creativity in decoration techniques
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean workspace consistently
Working some days shifts, some closing shifts and at least one weekend shift is required
