Full Job Description

Duties

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards
Measure and mix ingredients, roll dough, cut shapes, and decorate pastries
Monitor the baking process and adjust temperatures as needed
Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness
Clean and sanitize work area, utensils, and equipment
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations

Skills and Qualifications

Experience in food handling and preparation, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting
Extensive knowledge of bread baking
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking principles
Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high quality products
Proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment, including knives and mixers
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
