Full Job Description

Experience working for a public works contractor is required.

Seeking a secretary for a growing construction company focusing on public work and government contracts. You must have experience working in this field because it will provide you with the requisite knowledge.

Required EXPERIENCE - mandatory:

-DOL certified payroll reports

-DOL manning reports

-notary public (if not be willing to become one asap)

-public bid preparation

-knowledge of AIA payment applications and how to format

-billing, vendor management

-filing

-excel, word, scheduling software, employee hours, payroll

-must be comfortable driving within 1-2 hours to deliver public bids and record results, you have to be open to driving as part of the job

-must be willing to drive, must be comfortable acting as a scheduler, planner, assistant for the owner.

-must be comfortable with bookkeeping and managing accounts payable, organising vendor bills, opening mail, using a scanner, and presenting important items to owner.

-experience with insurance audits is very important.

-must understand prevailing wages, union experience and benefits payments is a huge plus!!!

-The above is just a highlight, you should be ready and willing to utilize your skillset and background to assist the company in growing in any way possible. You will be rewarded!

Be comfortable in a demanding and challenging environment where mistakes CANNOT get made ever.
