Full Job Description

This is a strip mall pizza spot. No white tablecloths, no tasting menus, no Instagram kitchen. It's a neighborhood place that's been around long enough to have real regulars, real volume, and a real reputation for making the best pizza in the area.

We just took over and we're not looking to change what works. $1.3M a year, 8 tables, 70% pickup and delivery. The recipe is dialed in. The customers keep coming back. We will inovate but also want to keep the current customers happy.

What the Role Actually Is

You will be the pizza chef, which means most of your day is in front of a 500 degree oven. Hard work.

You run the kitchen and you run the team. That means owning the pizza quality from dough to box every single day, leading a crew of 4 back of house, hitting 250 pizzas a day during peak service, and building people up so the operation holds without you carrying it alone.

You'll also handle the basics. Labor, food cost, consistency, reporting to ownership. The job isn't complicated. Keep a well-run shop running well, get it tight enough that we can open a second one.

There will be hard shifts. Busy Fridays where everything hits at once. Staff who don't show. Ovens that don't cooperate. This role needs someone who rolls up their sleeves and figures it out, not someone who manages from the office.

Who We're Looking For

A kitchen person first. Pizza background strongly preferred, brick oven even better. You know what a good pie looks like and you hold that standard on every single one that comes out. You've trained people before and you know how to build a crew that performs under pressure.

You're not looking for glamour. You want to be part of something real, get in early, and grow with it.

Compensation

Base: $40,000
Take-home target: $60,000 - $85,000 with performance
401(k)
Relocation assistance available

Requirements

Experience tossing pizza dough.
Kitchen background required, pizza experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working every station when needed
Experience managing a team of 10 or more
3+ years in pizza or similar fast-casual operation
