We’re looking for a knowledgeable and organized Business Office Manager (BOM) to lead our business office operations and ensure accurate, efficient financial management in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Position Summary

The Business Office Manager is responsible for managing the business office functions of the facility, including billing, accounts receivable, resident trust accounts, payroll coordination, and financial reporting. This role serves as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and third-party payers, ensuring timely collections and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily business office operations, including billing, collections, and resident financial accounts

Prepare and submit Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims accurately and promptly

Manage resident trust funds and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

Maintain accurate records for accounts receivable, census, and revenue reconciliation

Collaborate with the Administrator and department heads to ensure proper financial management

Communicate with residents and families regarding billing inquiries and financial arrangements

Assist with payroll processing and maintain personnel records as assigned

Support month-end closing processes and financial audits

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care business office

Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing processes

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
