Summary
The Executive Directr f Instructinal Leadership prvides leadership and supprt t netwrked imprvement cmmunities f schls (NICS) t build the capacity f schl leaders and imprve the cnditins f teaching and learning. The Executive Directr will make decisins t address day-t-day academic and peratinal issues and be respnsible fr ensuring the district's missin and gals are achieved acrss the NICS. Cllabrate with multiple departments t ensure cnsistency f practice and equitable use f resurces. Under the supervisin f the Chief f Schls & Instructinal Leadership, the Executive Directr will ensure the creatin, implementatin, and mnitring f assigned strategic and schl imprvement plans in alignment with the district's missin, visin, and strategic plan; ptimize resurces fr schl cmmunities t achieve the district's missin, visin, and strategic plan; supervise, cach, and mentr principals f NICS; cmmunicating plicies, practices, prcedures and ther relevant infrmatin t the leadership assigned elementary schls; prvide effective crisis and issue management cnsultatin; prvide effective prblem slving cnsultatin; and ensuring effective plans fr and implementatin f prfessinal develpment fr staff in assigned elementary schls.

Essential Duties and Respnsibilities:

Cach, mentr, advise, and supprt schl leaders in gal setting, planning, develpment, implementatin, and mnitring f actin plans that will guide them t meet their instructinal leadership bjectives and fr their schls t meet perfrmance targets.
Plan and lead high quality and relevant learning experiences fr schl leaders t guide the implementatin f effective instructinal prgrams.
Cnduct regular infrmal classrm walk-thrughs t prvide feedback n successful instructinal leadership practices, such as effective management f instructinal staff, analysis f data, delivery f classrm instructin, classrm management, use f data, and establishment f schl culture.
Attend schl meetings and events t fster a culture f engagement with staff, families, and cmmunity.
Build the instructinal leadership capacity f schl leaders with particular fcus n instructin, data analysis, aligned interventins, cmmunity, culture, equitable student utcmes, and equitable allcatin f resurces.
Visit schls n a regular basis t mnitr day-t-day peratins, instructinal practices, and schl culture.
Mdel nndiscriminatry practices in all activities.
Ensure that the schl's data and evidenced based best practices supprt the cntinuus imprvement and schl imprvement plans f assigned schls.
Cllabrate with the ffice f Learning & Teaching and the ffice f Perfrmance Management, Equity & Accuntability t ensure alignment f activities related t equitable student learning, equitable allcatin f resurces, and team cmpetencies acrss NICS.
Cllabrate with District departments and ffices t ensure ptimal and equitable resurces are available t supprt assigned elementary schls.
Cllabrate with the Chief f Schls & Instructinal Leadership t develp the schl budgets.
Interpret District plicies and regulatins fr the schl leaders.
Evaluate the perfrmance f schl leaders and use the results t imprve their leadership capacity, instructinal supprt effectiveness, and develpment f psitive schl cultures.
Supprt the Chief f Schls & Instructinal Leadership with the prcess f screening schl administrative applicants, identifying interview panel members, cnducting interviews with selected applicants, and making candidate recmmendatins.
Investigate and respnd t parent and stakehlder cncerns invlving assigned schls.
Allcate schl psitins based n guidelines, ratis, and frmulas in cllabratin with the ffice f Talent and Management based n data and evidenced best practices.
Mnitr class size ratis and mnitr the schl ratis fr assigned schls.
Cllabrate with the schl principals t develp, mnitr, and versee schl budgets.
Plan, crdinate, and implement prfessinal develpment activities fr principals and assistant principals.
Mnitr and apprve leave requests frm principals f assigned schls and apprve in city and ut-f-city travel expenses fr payment.
Assist in revising/updating schl district plicies, regulatins, prcedures, and practices related t elementary schls.
Prvide infrmatin as requested fr state reprts.
Perfrm ther duties as assigned.

Supervisry Respnsibilities
Directly supervises Divisin administrative supprt and assigned Schl Leaders. Respnsibilities include interviewing, recmmending new hires, and training emplyees; planning and crdinating wrk; appraising perfrmance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing cmplaints, and reslving prblems; preparing, reviewing and revising Divisin jb descriptins; and carrying ut supervisry respnsibilities in accrdance with the District's plicies and applicable laws.
