Salon Assistant – Salon Beau (Andover, MA)

Salon Beau is looking for a dedicated, hardworking Salon Assistant to join our team in Andover. This is an entry-level position with strong growth potential for someone serious about building a long-term career in the beauty industry.

Requirements:

Must hold a valid cosmetology license or graduating within the next month
Must have reliable transportation
Must be available to work the following schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 10AM-3PM, Saturday 7:30AM - 3:30PM

About the Role:
This is a hands-on, client-facing position. You will be assisting stylists on the floor while also being trained in front desk and reception responsibilities for backup. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the overall client experience from start to finish.

Daily responsibilities include:

Assisting stylists with services
Shampooing and preparing clients
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the salon
Laundry, cleaning, and restocking (a large part of the role, especially in the beginning)
Supporting front desk operations and guest experience

A fast learner who can take direction well
Someone extremely hardworking and team-oriented
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Willingness to start with foundational tasks and grow from there

Compensation: Starting pay: $16.00 per hour. This position is designed for growth. Assistants who demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and skill development will have the opportunity to advance into a Co-Artist role and eventually transition into a Stylist position.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
