Full Job Description

Help Wanted: Experienced Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC
Schedule: Full-Time Monday through Friday
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience + benefits

We are a construction company seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling high-volume invoices, vendor relations, and reconciling accounts with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

· Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests accurately and on time

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

· Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements

· Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies

· Assist with month-end closing, reporting, and audits

· Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payments and inquiries

· Support the accounting team with additional duties as needed

Qualifications

· 5+ years of accounts payable experience (construction industry experience a plus)

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices

· Proficient in QuickBooks

· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliation spreadsheets)

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
