Full Job Description

**To minimize disruptions to our patients and team, this position is being recruited confidentially. Practice details will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.**

Position Overview

Our dental practice is seeking an exceptional full-time Treatment Coordinator to serve as a trusted guide for patients throughout their treatment journey.

This is more than a traditional treatment coordination role. You'll help patients understand the value of the care we provide, confidently present recommended treatment, and guide them through financial discussions with clarity and professionalism.

You'll become an expert in what makes our practice different and help patients understand our commitment to clinical excellence, patient education, and exceptional service. Every interaction is an opportunity to build trust and reinforce the value of choosing our practice for their long-term dental care.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships, educating patients, and creating an exceptional experience from the first phone call through the completion of treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment Plan Presentation & Patient Education

Present recommended treatment plans with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
Help patients understand the purpose, benefits, and value of recommended care.
Educate patients on what makes our practice different, including our philosophy of care and commitment to exceptional dentistry and service.
Build trust through thoughtful communication and help patients make informed decisions about their care.

Financial Coordination & Insurance Support

Explain treatment estimates, insurance benefits, and financial responsibilities.
Present financing and payment options clearly and professionally.
Coordinate pre-authorizations and insurance documentation as needed.
Help patients understand their financial options and feel confident moving forward with treatment.

Scheduling & Treatment Coordination

Coordinate treatment scheduling to support timely completion of recommended care.
Follow up with patients who have outstanding treatment and help address remaining questions or concerns.
Collaborate closely with the doctor and clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records.

Patient Experience & Practice Operations

Serve as one of the primary ambassadors of our practice.
Create a welcoming, professional, and hospitality-driven experience for every patient.
Build long-term relationships through professionalism, education, and genuine care.
Communicate effectively with patients and team members while contributing to an organized, patient-centered office culture.
Protect patient confidentiality and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to explain complex information in a simple, patient-friendly manner
Strong understanding of dental insurance benefits and treatment estimates
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional demeanor and appearance
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
Computer proficiency and the ability to learn dental practice software
Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

Previous dental office experience
Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements
Familiarity with dental practice management software
Knowledge of dental terminology and common dental procedures
Experience in dentistry, cosmetic medicine, plastic surgery, dermatology, orthodontics, or another patient-centered healthcare environment.
