Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / OB | Rotating Days & Nights | Bemidji, MN

Pay Rate:

Travel: $85/hour
Local (Within 80 Miles): $80/hour

Travel Labor & Delivery RN Opportunity – Bemidji, Minnesota

We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Obstetrics for a 13-week travel assignment in Bemidji, Minnesota. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care who are passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and babies in an acute care setting.

You'll join a collaborative OB team while caring for patients across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and related women's health services.

Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics
Location: Bemidji, MN
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Schedule: Rotating Days & Nights
Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Care Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
Floating: May float to Med-Surg and Telemetry as needed

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn recovery
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery
Care for postpartum mothers and newborns following delivery
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge planning
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatric providers, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Respond to obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation situations
Maintain accurate patient documentation using the electronic medical record
Float to Med-Surg or Telemetry units when required

Minimum Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Minnesota or eligible)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/OB experience
Experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Care
Current BLS Certification (AHA)
Current ACLS Certification (AHA)
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
Experience using Epic EMR preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
