Full Job Description

Position Summary

Mercy Drive Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Supervisor to oversee our Community Habilitation and In-Home Respite Services. The Assistant Supervisor will ensure the day-to-day operations of the Residential Services Program are carried out efficiently and effectively to promote quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and sustainable program growth.

This position provides direct supervision to Case Workers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), while assisting management in maintaining operational excellence, staff development, and compliance with OPWDD and Mercy Drive Inc. standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist with the oversight and daily operations of Community Habilitation and In-Home Respite Services.
Set performance goals and deadlines in accordance with program requirements and organizational objectives.
Supervise, support, and guide Case Workers and Direct Support Professionals.
Organize workloads and ensure staff understand their responsibilities and assigned tasks.
Monitor staff productivity and service delivery.
Ensure all participant records and case files are maintained in compliance with OPWDD regulations and Mercy Drive Inc. policies.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to staff.
Address employee concerns and assist in resolving workplace issues.
Serve as a liaison between staff and management.
Remain current on OPWDD regulations, policies, and best practices.
Conduct regular staff meetings, supervision sessions, and training activities.
Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Complete probationary and annual employee performance evaluations.
Assist with staff training and professional development.
Review and submit employee timecards to Human Resources biweekly.
Provide management with weekly staffing schedules and operational updates.
Maintain compliance with the agency's chain of command, policies, and procedures.
Participate in agency meetings, trainings, and other assigned activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate's Degree accepted with extensive supervisory experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, policies, and service requirements.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience supervising Community Habilitation, In-Home Respite, Residential, or OPWDD-funded programs.
Experience conducting staff supervision, audits, and quality assurance reviews.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
