Gifted Teacher/Coordinator (Grades K–6)

Harrisburg Global Academy
Opening Fall 2026 | Indian Land / Fort Mill, SC Area

Position Summary

The Gifted & Talented Resource Teacher provides specialized instruction and enrichment services for academically gifted and advanced learners in grades K–6. The teacher collaborates with classroom teachers to ensure differentiated instruction, acceleration opportunities, and rigorous learning experiences aligned to South Carolina Gifted and Talented regulations and Harrisburg Global Academy's instructional model.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction and enrichment to identified gifted and advanced learners through flexible service delivery models.
Design and facilitate rigorous, student-centered learning experiences that promote critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, inquiry, and innovation.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop differentiated lessons, enrichment opportunities, and acceleration strategies.
Support the identification and evaluation process for gifted students, including reviewing assessment data and maintaining required documentation.
Develop, implement, and monitor Gifted Educational Plans (EPs) and ensure compliance with South Carolina gifted education requirements.
Analyze student achievement data to monitor academic growth and adjust programming as needed.
Coordinate academic competitions, enrichment opportunities, STEM initiatives, leadership experiences, and other advanced learning programs.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, programming, and enrichment opportunities.
Provide professional development and coaching to teachers on differentiation, enrichment, and gifted instructional strategies.
Maintain accurate student records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings related to gifted services.
Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Valid South Carolina teaching certificate.
South Carolina Gifted & Talented Endorsement.
Experience working with gifted and high-achieving students.
Strong understanding of differentiation, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and acceleration strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
