Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to lead the planning, purchasing, and merchandising of our home goods product assortment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, and trend-aware.

The Merchandise Manager will oversee product categories including home décor, bedding, bath, seasonal, and other home essentials. This position works closely with vendors, leadership, marketing, and operations to ensure merchandise is, competitively priced, and visually appealing.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute merchandising strategies that support sales and profitability goals.
Manage product assortments across multiple home goods categories.
Analyze sales trends, and customer purchasing behavior to make data-driven merchandising decisions.
Source new products and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional opportunities with vendors.
Plan seasonal merchandise transitions, promotional events, and product launches.
Monitor gross margin, and key merchandising metrics.
Collaborate with marketing and Sales teams to support promotions and drive customer engagement.
Stay informed on trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Three to five years of merchandising, buying, category management, or retail management experience.
Previous experience in home goods is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and vendor negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and all Microsoft programs.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
