About the Role

The Licensing & Contracting Specialist is responsible for executing high-volume, accuracy-critical licensing and carrier contracting activities that directly support agent productivity and revenue generation. This role works closely with the Manager of Licensing & Contracting to ensure timely processing, issue resolution, data integrity, and compliance across Life, Medicare, and Health contract requests.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented operator who can manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly with gents and carriers, and proactively remove barriers before they impact ready-to-sell status. Strong performers in this role do more than process transactions; they improve workflows, maintain audit-ready records, and help the team scale effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end onboarding, licensing, appointments, and contracting workflows for Life, Medicare, and ACA agents.
Track resident and non-resident license status, renewal deadlines, and certification requirements to prevent avoidable selling disruptions.
Review contracting and appointment paperwork for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before submission.
Resolve agent, agency, and carrier licensing or contracting issues quickly, accurately, and professionally.
Serve as a primary point of contact for licensing and contracting questions, status updates, and escalations.
Maintain accurate records across internal systems, including contract level, hierarchy, status, and supporting documentation.
Review exception reports daily, identify root causes of discrepancies, and take corrective action to prevent repeat issues.
Run intake calls and process onboarding paperwork for new downline agencies and independent producers.
Coordinate with carrier partners to expedite approvals, resolve outstanding requirements, and support appointment readiness.
Process agent release requests, terminations, transfers, and related changes in accordance with carrier and compliance requirements.
Ensure all activities are completed in alignment with CMS, state, carrier, and internal compliance standards.
Meet established service level agreements for turnaround time, accuracy, responsiveness, and workload volume.
Contribute ideas that improve workflow efficiency, documentation quality, and overall team performance.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
