Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you’ll manage front-desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes efficient healthcare delivery. Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls to appropriate staff
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency
Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, insurance details, and medical records in compliance with health regulation policies
Handle correspondence related to health insurance claims and billing inquiries
Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information

Skills

Proven experience working in a medical office environment or dental office experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative tasks
Strong knowledge of health regulation policies and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and client interactions
Ability to type quickly and accurately while managing multiple tasks efficiently
Knowledge of health insurance processes and billing procedures is highly desirable
