Full Job Description

Overview
Join our fast growing, dynamic Podiatry team as a Back Office Medical Assistant, where you will enjoy a fun, happy environment with high energy. If you don't have positive high energy with optimistic outlook everyday, don't bother applying. Our staff has a 110% positive, happy attitude everyday and we are going to keep it that way. This position is to replace the previous person whom was promoted as they did an awesome job. You will have big shoes to fill and will be rewarded if you continue to do so. Minimum of 2 years of documented experience as well as solid work ethics is required.

You will be required to accurately document each patient encounter using the Tebra EMR system with efficiency in clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced medical environment while making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. This clinic is exclusively working with feet so if you have a foot phobia, do not bother applying for this job. Clinic is seeing insured patients with high standards of care and proficiency of knowledge. Will need someone with experience that is self directed and has maturity around advanced age patients.

Duties

Support physicians and healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing necessary equipment and assisting with clinical procedures
Assist in collecting vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information to facilitate thorough clinical assessments
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and ensure all medical supplies are stocked and ready for use
Manage medical records by organizing, updating, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
Transcribe detailed patient interactions in real-time using Tebra Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure precise documentation of diagnoses, treatments, and patient histories
Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing correspondence within the medical office
Utilize physiology and anatomy knowledge to understand medical terminology and assist with Podiatry related minor procedures when needed

Requirements

Proven experience in a medical office setting or as a Back Office Medical Assistant, with familiarity using Tebra EMR/EHR systems for documentation
Strong assistant skills with anticipation for items and attention to detail
Prior experience working in Podiatry environments is highly desirable for handling foot and ankle situations effectively
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
Basic understanding of medical records management and confidentiality protocols
Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and human anatomy to accurately record clinical information and correct spelling is a key skill
Excellent typing skills to efficiently document patient encounters in real-time
