PCU RN – Columbus, OH | Nights | 3x12s | Up to $2,340/Week

Location: Columbus, OH
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week
Positions: 2
Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate

Pay

Weekly Pay: Up to $2,340/week
Blended Rate: Up to $65/hour
Taxable Rate: Up to $34/hour
Travel Stipend: Up to $1,116/week
Local Rate: $65/hour

Position Highlights

Travel PCU RN
Night shift
36 hours/week
1:3 patient ratio
1 year of RN experience with PCU experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Candidates with only 1 year of experience require manager review
Epic required
Adults
Cardiac-focused PCU
Wide variety of diagnoses
Chronic ventilated patient management
Post-lung transplant patients
Floating required within the OSU organization
Every other weekend
Approximately 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
Rotating or straight nights
Call required
2 pre-approved RTO requests

Additional Information

Patient ratio: 1:3
Floating required to different units within the OSU organization as needed
Weekend coverage every other weekend
Approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
Maximum 2 RTO requests
RTO must be submitted with the candidate
Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start
Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently after contract signing
Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance may need to travel to Ohio for fingerprinting
Candidates at extreme distances may receive a fingerprinting packet by mail
2 professional references required
At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director/supervisor
Charge RN acceptable as second reference
No coworker references accepted
Former Ohio State employees must be away from the facility for at least 6 months
Current Ohio State employees are not eligible for travel assignments
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
COVID vaccine not required
Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only
