Slidell Memorial Hospital - Slidell, LA

Join Ochsner Health in the Northshore region — we’re seeking experienced Registered Nurses to support multiple units at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, patient-focused team and make a meaningful impact across Med Surg, Telemetry, and Oncology care settings.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice.

In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while effectively delegating, directing, and supporting licensed and ancillary team members. You will assume accountability for patient outcomes, promote a culture of safety and compassion, and contribute to the achievement of unit and departmental goals.

This position offers the opportunity to work across Med Surg Expansion, Telemetry, and Oncology units, with both day and night shifts available.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse diploma (RN) required.
Associate (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
No prior RN experience required (new grads welcome), though experience is valued.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (required).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
Certification in a clinical specialty area preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
