Full Job Description

Overview
As a HANDS ON in all aspects Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our organization. Proficiency with AS400 ERP from Epicor is highly preferred. You will lead the financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while providing insightful financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making. Your expertise will guide our accounting practices, enabling us to maintain fiscal health and transparency. Join us in this dynamic position where your contributions will make a significant impact!

What you’ll do

Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Manage all aspects of cash management, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations and other applicable laws in both non-profit and governmental accounting contexts.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation of transactions.
Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare detailed financial reports that provide insights into operational performance and support strategic planning initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective financial management practices and improve overall financial acumen across the organization.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial reporting and analysis.

Basic qualifications

Strong understanding of financial concepts, including double-entry bookkeeping, payroll management, and regulatory reporting.

Preferred qualifications

Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles.
Familiarity with technical accounting standards and practices relevant to our industry.
Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, account reconciliation, and account analysis to drive informed decision-making.
Experience with budgeting processes and forecasting techniques.
