Full Job Description

Account Clerk

A little bit about our company:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review incoming invoices, verify details, and assign accurate general ledger coding before processing.
Manage accounts payable transactions from receipt through final payment while maintaining complete and organized records.
Communicate with vendors and internal teams to answer payment questions and support issue resolution.
Prepare and process ACH payments and check runs in accordance with established schedules and approval requirements.
Monitor open payables to help ensure obligations are paid correctly and withing required timeframes.
Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
Assist team with processing and recording receivables.
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
Assist in the collection of and reporting of past due accounts.
Generating reports and statements for customers.
Prepare and make bank deposits as required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with bookkeeping software.
Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Attention to detail.
Competency in MS Office; firsthand experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
