Full Job Description

We're partnering with a healthcare organization to hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Biller for its Revenue Cycle team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background in Skilled Nursing billing and enjoys taking ownership of the entire revenue cycle, from claim submission through final collection.

Location: Montebello, CA (Hybrid after 90 days: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote)

Compensation: $35–45/hour + uncapped quarterly bonus

Schedule: Full-time with flexible start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM.

Position Overview

You'll be responsible for managing the complete billing and collections process for an assigned group of skilled nursing facilities. This position requires someone who can independently navigate multiple payer types, proactively resolve billing issues, and partner with facility teams to ensure timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Oversee the full revenue cycle for assigned facilities, including billing, collections, payment posting, and account resolution
Submit and follow up on claims across Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, commercial insurance, HMOs, and other payer sources
Investigate denied or unpaid claims and coordinate appeals, corrections, adjustments, and write-offs as needed
Review AR aging and identify opportunities to improve cash collections
Partner with Business Office teams to ensure accurate census information, authorizations, eligibility, and supporting documentation
Assist with month-end billing activities, cash reconciliation, and ongoing revenue cycle initiatives

Qualifications

Prior Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing experience required
Experience managing the full billing lifecycle from claim creation through collections
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, and commercial payer guidelines
Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
