Job Summary

Project Manager, Customized Communications – Managing Cost, Schedule, Performance & Growth

JANSON is seeking a passionate, purposeful, and problem-solving individual to serve as our Project Manager for our Customized Communications domain and will report to our Executive VP. This role requires proven management experience, contract performance to include cost, schedule and growth. This position will be based at our Headquarters in Fairfax, VA. This role requires proven experience along with the desire to embrace a culture that is results-driven. Most of our customized communications clients are within the Department of Defense (DoD) market and familiarity of DoD and the Federal government is paramount.

Location: HQs,Fairfax, VA----- (Hybrid, 3/4 days in HQs Office)

Start: Immediately

Clearance: Secret Clearance Preferred

Responsibilities:

This individual will be vital to both the day-to-day and long-term success of JANSON. As a mission-focused organization fueled by our commitment to service excellence, the ideal candidate must maintain the ability to:
Monitor program budgets & schedules across several contracts for Customized Communications
Accountable for staying within agreed upon budgets & schedules
Manages quality of all deliverables
Proven ability to brief senior leaders
Manages all projects on-quality (tactical), on-time and on-budget
Collaborate with the contracting authorities and internal project coordinator to develop project plans, scope, objectives, schedules and deliverables
Identify and pursue growth opportunities

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 8 years of communications strategy and planning, public relations or public affairs for a medium- to large-sized organization OR Master’s degree and minimum of 6 years of media relations, communications, public relations, or public affairs for a medium- to large-sized organization
Federal Government Contracting experience preferred.
Excellent briefing skills.
Willing to both set strategy, and implement, as needed; displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and drive performance and growth
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in MS Project, excel and other advanced project management software
Ability to accomplish big picture objectives through a strong focus on detail
Understanding of government contracts
SECRET clearance preferred
Prior military experience preferred, but not required
Exceptional organizational and planning ability
Strong leadership skills
PMP preferred, but not required
Knowledge and experience managing LCATs, labor utilization and pricing
FAR requirements
