Key Responsibilities:

As a School Nurse (M–F), you will play a key role in supporting students' physical and emotional well-being. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Provide care for students with chronic conditions such as diabetes and seizure precautions
Perform diabetic management, including monitoring and education
Administer medications (e.g., Baqsimi, Glucagon, Diastat, Valtoco)
Respond to medical needs based on collaboration with the physician
Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Assessing, monitoring, and managing students with both chronic and acute health conditions
Maintaining accurate, confidential, and up-to-date student health records
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and district health policies
Communicating with parents/guardians regarding students’ health concerns and follow-up care

Qualifications

Active RN or LPN license in the state of Florida
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
