Full Job Description

Trident Research has a 20+ year history of developing, fielding, and sustaining instrumentation for the U.S. military. We are currently seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Quality Assurance Manager. We are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Lead to oversee and continuously improve our enterprise-wide Quality Management System across multiple locations, including Cape Canaveral and the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the company’s quality strategy, team, and processes.
Maintain and improve the QMS in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, contractual, and government requirements.
Serve as the primary representative for customer, government, registrar, and third-party audits.
Manage internal audits, corrective actions, nonconformances, quality notices, and root-cause investigations.
Provide quality oversight for engineering, manufacturing, operations, procurement, suppliers, and program teams.
Establish quality metrics and report performance to leadership.
Lead risk management, change control, document control, training, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all locations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
5–10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, quality management, manufacturing quality, or a related field.
At least 3 years of leadership or program-level quality responsibility.
Experience managing quality programs across multiple locations or operating environments.
Experience developing or improving a QMS and leading internal or external audits.
Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, corrective action, root-cause analysis, supplier quality, inspection, traceability, and continuous improvement.
Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, engineering, government contracting, or another regulated industry.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with quality, document-control, ERP/MRP, learning-management, and Microsoft Office systems.

Additional Requirements

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and quality records.
Ability to travel periodically between company locations, suppliers, customers, and audit sites.
Ability to work in office, production, laboratory, warehouse, and other operational environments.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, if required by the position or contract.

Preferred Qualifications

ASQ or similar quality certification.
AS9100 or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
Experience scaling quality systems, implementing quality software, or working with DCMA, government inspectors, customers, or third-party registrars.

Clearance Requirements-

This position may require the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
