Full Job Description

We are looking for Dishwashers for the growing restaurant, Irene's Craft Kitchen & Biergarten of Grand Blanc, MI!

As a Dishwasher, you are an essential member of our kitchen team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards by washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, allowing our culinary team to focus on preparing delicious meals for our guests.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment, including dishwashers, sinks, and sanitizing machines, to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas, ensuring that they are organized and easily accessible for kitchen staff.
Inspect dishes, glassware, and utensils for cleanliness and remove any food particles, stains, or residue before sanitizing.
Handle and store cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines and ensure that all cleaning supplies are properly stocked.
Potential for food preparation experience
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety practices.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy loads for extended periods.
Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Willingness to learn and take on additional tasks as assigned by kitchen management.
