Seeking Passionate & Detail Oriented Servers

MeXo in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking to hire part-time Servers to provide remarkable guest experience in our fast-paced, scratch made, detail oriented Pre-Hispanic Restaurant and craft Tequila & Mezcal bar. This position offers great work hours, an hourly wage plus tips, and weekly pay for an earning potential over $50,000/year. MeXo Restaurant is a casual fine dining restaurant and Tequila/Mezcal bar featuring Genuine Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails. Chef Oscar Moreno and his culinary team feature cutting edge Mexican dishes, using many pre-hispanic cooking methods, to provide a unique experience to our customers. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional guest experiences and incredible service to our patrons.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERVER

At MeXo, you can enjoy working in both our main dining room, private dining events, patio sections, and great candidates can train into bar positions also. You are expected to arrive for each of your scheduled shifts ready to provide our guests with the most welcoming, knowledgeable, and efficient service possible. Using your charming and confident personality, you should cheerfully greet our guests to ensure that they feel welcome. We expect to provide the perfect combination of professional and personable interactions all while serving delicious food and well-balanced drinks.

In addition to building good relationships with our guests, you ensure that they have a great experience with us. Throughout your shift, you utilize your attention to detail to serve great food and craft drinks according to our house recipes while maintaining an accurate cash drawer. We truly believe you'll get great satisfaction out of maintaining a warm, welcoming, and well-run place for our guests to unwind.

QUALIFICATIONS

Friday and Saturday Night Availability
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience working as a Bartender and or Server
Physical ability to lift 20 lb boxes and stand for an 8-hour shift

Prior serving/bartending experience preferred. Are you confident, outgoing, and friendly? Do you present yourself professionally? Do you have exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills? Can you easily build rapport? Are you able to think on your feet and excel under pressure? Do you have great attention to detail? Are you organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks? Can you multitask? Are you ready to use your knowledge of liquor, beer and wine to provide excellent service? If so, you may be perfect for this position! Tequila, Mezcal, and Agave spirit knowledge is not needed but highly encouraged!
