Full Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a SEWING OPERATOR in Simpsonville, SC. The SEWING OPERATOR is responsible for processing fabrics for lifting slings and straps . This is a 1st shift position (6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday). The pay is $15 to $19/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities of a SEWING OPERATOR includes:

Operate sewing machines
Trouble shoot minor mechanical problems
Identify what materials will be needed as well as dimensions, tolerances, and shapes to produce according to production order
Use processes of cutting and sewing to produce parts
Set-up machines based on Technical data sheets
Mark and label product
Complete paperwork to declare product and material/component usage
Work as a team to meet deadlines
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

High School diploma or GED
MUST HAVE experience working with an industrial sewing machine, embroidery machine, weaving machine or closely related experience
Basic Math Skills
Able to safely perform related physical demands of the role: team lift up to 40 pounds as needed, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arm
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
