Full Job Description

Purpose:

Provide leadership throughout the Practice by supervising and directing patient care in all clinical areas according to the policies, procedures, and objectives of the Practice. Communicates on behalf of Practice Administration, to employees and Providers within assigned areas.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of daily operations of clinical departments including support of existing services as well as ensuring new service lines are smoothly initiated and integrated within the Practice
Leads cross-functional teams across Specialty Services by integrating administrative and business functions with medical providers and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and the highest levels of patient experience
Supports a multidisciplinary, outcome driven and accountable approach to providing optimal patient outcomes
Works within the Operations Team to facilitate patient service efforts and collaboratively achieve Practice goals
Serves as primary internal and external ambassador for Specialty Services to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
Serves as change agent to develop, shape and lead various implementations and expansion strategies and efforts within the Specialty Services departments
Identifies and recommends operational enhancements and efficiencies to reduce costs and increase efficiency and quality
Continually updates and educates the managers of Specialty Service departments on changing industry trends, financial issues and budget control techniques
Promotes staff development through performance evaluation, coaching, identifying development goals, and arranging educational opportunities that enhance and encourage continued professional growth among staff
Ensure Practice compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements
Assists in the development of policies and procedures for the Practice
Conducts financial planning and analyses to interpret trends and variances from expectations and provides advice and counsel to staff and providers consistent with established financial policies and industry best practices
Ensures timely preparation, review and submission of annual capital and operating budgets for areas of responsibility
Regularly monitors, analyzes and reports on relevant data and metrics for performance improvement
Communicates effectively and professionally relevant practice and/or information with stakeholders
Anticipates changing needs of areas of responsibility and takes appropriate steps to meet these needs

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Five (5) years of managerial/administrative level experience in a medical group practice setting
Bachelor’s degree in related field

Preferred:

Master’s degree in related field (i.e. MBA/MHA)
Five (5) years of professional nursing or nursing administration experience

ADA Physical Demands:
