Healing Solutions Counseling, a program of JFS of Western North Carolina (JFS), is growing and seeking compassionate, experienced therapists to join our clinical team.
We can provide qualified North Carolina-licensed mental health counselors with an immediate caseload. JFS also handles insurance credentialing at no cost to you, allowing you to focus on what matters most—your clients.

What You'll Do
As a JFS therapist, you will:
· Provide individual mental health counseling in person and via telehealth as appropriate
· Provide couples/family counseling and facilitate groups as needed
· Conduct assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses
· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
· Assess and respond to client risk factors and crisis situations
· Maintain timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation to Medicare standards
· Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate
· Coordinate care with JFS case management, specialists, and community resources
· Maintain professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards
What We're Looking For
Required:
· Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program
· Current, unrestricted North Carolina LCSW or LCMHC license
· Fully licensed clinician in good standing
· Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
· STRONG Computer skills being able to work seamlessly between electronic medical record, teams, outlook, excel programs. Ability to use electronic health records and workplace technology
Important: Because of Medicare billing requirements, we are currently unable to hire associate-level LCSWA or LCMHCA clinicians for this position.
Previous insurance credentialing is helpful but not required. JFS provides credentialing at no cost to the clinician.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $55 per clinical hour Employment Type: W-2, Part-Time
Expected Hours: Approximately 3 days a week, 15 client hours, with potential for growth to full time if interested. Schedule: Flexible weekday, evening, and weekend availability to your interest. Locations: Hendersonville, NC Work Setting: Outpatient, primarily in-person with telehealth as appropriate
Additional Longevity Pay
We value clinicians who grow with JFS. Therapists receive additional monthly compensation based on length of service: · 6 months: +$50/month, · 12 months: +$100/month, · 25 months: +$200/month, · 37 months: +$300/month

As a member of the JFS clinical team, Therapists are primarily responsible for providing individual mental health counseling, couples/family and group facilitation as needed.

Qualifications
- Master of Social Work from an accredited university program
- North Carolina licensure LCSW
- Master of Counseling from an accredited university program
- North Carolina licensure LCMHC
- Unable to hire Associate level licenses at this time (LCMHCA or LCSWA)
Experience/Skills
- Must be fully licensed provider. (We cannot accept LCSWA or LCMHCA clinicians at this time due to needing to bill Medicare)
- Must be in good standing with Medicare if previously billed to them
- Provider paneled with Medicare and/or BCBS-NC, or application pending with other insurances preferred but not required
- Experience working with electronic health recording software (EHR)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal
- Strong clinical writing skills for SOAP notes and Treatment planning
- Highly organized work style & work ethic
- STRONG computer skills including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel & client database systems
- Ability to work independently & efficiently, to think creatively, and problem-solve
- Ability to interact respectfully with diverse socio-economic and cultural populations
- Respect for client and agency privacy & confidentiality
- Awareness of and respect for Jewish culture, values, and traditions or openness to learn
Responsibilities
- Work with diverse individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health in person and via telehealth.
- Assist with group facilitation
- Assess clients for risk factors including self-harm and suicide. Act as client advocates to coordinate any required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition; formulate initial diagnosis at assessment.
- Prepare, complete and maintain client electronic records in a timely manner, including federal- and state-mandated forms, client diagnostic and treatment plans and records, reports, insurance forms and progress notes. Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Refer patients, clients or family members to any additional specialists, our case manager and/or community resources as needed
- Counsel clients, individually or in group sessions, to assist them in meeting their therapy goals. Modify treatment activities, approaches and diagnoses as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries; uphold ethical standards and confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
- Discuss with individual patients their plans for life after leaving therapy, conduct appropriate termination, and assist with continuity of care.
