Full Job Description

Job Summary
The Automotive Accounting Support Staff assists the accounting department with day-to-day financial and administrative activities. This position helps maintain accurate records, processes transactions and documentation, and provides support to ensure accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities:

Process and organize invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting documents.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Enter and maintain accurate financial information in accounting and dealership systems.
Reconcile transactions, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Research and help resolve accounting discrepancies.
Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
Assist with month-end reporting and closing activities as assigned.
Communicate with customers, vendors, banks, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
Provide administrative support to the Controller and accounting team.
Follow company procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.

Qualifications:

Experience in DealerTrack DMS is preferred, but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, office, or automotive dealership experience is helpful.

Overall Objective

Provide accurate, timely, and dependable support to the accounting department while helping maintain complete financial records and efficient accounting operations.
