Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Project Accounting Coordinator to join our accounting team. This role will provide support across project accounting, accounts payable, condominium sales administration, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate possesses a solid accounting foundation, strong organizational skills, and strong Excel proficiency, with the ability to maintain recurring schedules, trackers, and supporting documentation while contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. This position will begin on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role as the company continues to expand.

Responsibilities

· Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice coding, supporting documentation, payment packages, and vendor follow-up.

· Review contractor AIA pay applications for completeness prior to payment processing.

· Maintain the Notice to Owner (NTO) log and track lien waivers and other construction documentation.

· Assist in the preparation and organization of monthly lender draw packages.

· Support condominium contract administration, including tracking purchaser deposits, contract milestones, and commission schedules.

· Prepare recurring journal entries and assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities.

· Maintain recurring accounting schedules and supporting workpapers.

· Maintain portfolio loan critical date trackers and insurance renewal trackers.

· Maintain and update recurring Excel workbooks, accounting schedules, and departmental trackers.

· Organize and maintain electronic loan, insurance, project, and accounting documentation.

· Assist with improving existing spreadsheets, reports, and accounting processes.

· Provide support on special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

· 2–4 years of accounting experience.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting, and spreadsheet organization.

· Experience with Sage, Yardi, or similar accounting software is preferred.

· Experience in construction, real estate development, or project accounting is preferred.

· Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

This position is intended to strengthen the accounting department by providing operational and project accounting support while helping maintain the systems, documentation, and recurring schedules that support the company's continued growth.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
