Full Job Description

Job Overview- This is promotable to KM

Join our dynamic culinary team as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, where your leadership and culinary expertise will drive excellence in food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management. In this energetic role, you will support the overall functioning of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your proactive approach will help foster a positive work environment while maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing training on food safety, food handling, and proper use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to ensure cost-effective food management.
Support shift management duties by coordinating staff schedules, overseeing food production timelines, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods.
Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to maintain compliance with health regulations.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and oversee cash handling procedures during shifts.
Collaborate with the management team on budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and menu adjustments to optimize restaurant performance.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and food industry regulations.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a team-oriented atmosphere.
Experience in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high-quality food production.
