About the Role

We build premium AR-platform rifles and components, and our shop is where the skilled hands-on work happens — fitting, building, and getting firearms right down to the detail.

This is a shop-floor role in our gunsmithing group. You'll do hands-on firearm work under experienced people, and there's a real training path here: specific parts of what we do can be taught to the right person, and we'd rather grow skilled people in-house than churn through résumés.

Here's who we're really looking for:

Retired or former military and law enforcement armorers — if you've maintained, repaired, and worked on firearms and you're looking for hands-on work that puts that experience to use, this is a great second-act job.
Gunsmithing school graduates, and students who started but didn't finish — if school didn't work out on time or money but you still want to work in the trade, we want to hear from you. Partial training plus the right attitude beats a piece of paper.
Skilled hands who want to break into the firearms trade — strong mechanical background, high aptitude for manufacturing, precision instinct, and a genuine interest in learning gunsmithing work from people who do it every day.

You don't need to be a fully trained, certified gunsmith. You need real hands-on ability, the discipline this work demands, and the drive to get better at it. We'll train you on the parts of our process that can be taught.

What You'll Actually Do

Perform hands-on firearm shop work — assembly, fitting, and finishing to exact specifications
Learn and take on specialized shop processes under experienced technicians and gunsmiths
Work to tight tolerances using hand tools, shop fixtures, gauges, and measurement tools
Diagnose and help resolve fit, function, and quality issues on builds and components
Follow all firearms handling, safety, and recordkeeping procedures without exception
Inspect your work and flag anything that isn't right before it moves on
Keep your bench and the shop area clean, organized, and safe
Support the shop team as the workload requires

What We're Looking For (Required)

Real hands-on firearms or precision mechanical ability. Whether it came from military/LE armorer work, gunsmithing school, the trades, or serious personal experience — you know your way around tools and manufacturing, and understand how mechanical things fit and function.
Precision and discipline. You work to spec, follow procedures exactly, and understand that in this trade a shortcut can be a safety problem.
Drive to learn the craft. You want to get better at this work and you'll put in the effort to do it.
Reliability. You show up on time, every day, ready to work.
Must pass a criminal background check and be legally able to possess firearms under all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Military or law enforcement armorer experience
Gunsmithing school coursework (finished or not)
Experience with AR-platform firearms specifically
Familiarity with headspacing, torque specs, calipers, gauges, or blueprint/build-sheet reading
Any trade background involving precision hand work — machining, automotive, aviation, etc.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This is medium-duty work. Every person in this role must be able to do the following each day, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Lifting/force: Exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects.
Vision: Close visual acuity for reading build sheets and bills of material, viewing a computer terminal, verifying labels and packaging, and distinguishing color.
Manual work: Sustained finger dexterity and grasping — picking, pinching, and precise hand work.
Positions/movement: Standing and walking for sustained periods; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in all directions.
Force application: Pushing and pulling using upper extremities in sustained motion.
Repetitive motion: Substantial, repeated movement of wrists, hands, and fingers.
Communication: Ability to hear at normal speaking levels and exchange detailed spoken instructions accurately in a shop environment.
