Job Overview

Shaw Media is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and hardworking person to join our team as a Real Estate Photographer in the Idaho Falls area.

NO PREVIOUS PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! We provide hands-on training and teach you our exact system for photographing homes, creating real estate media, working with clients, and completing each job from start to finish.

We’re much more interested in who you are than what’s already on your résumé.

The right person has a natural eye for what looks good, notices small details, is fantastic with people, and can be trusted to manage their schedule and get things done without someone constantly checking in.

This is an independent, on-the-go position. You’ll travel to different properties throughout the day, meet real estate agents and homeowners, capture the media they’ve ordered, and upload everything when you’re finished.

Photography experience is not necessary. Experience with graphic design, art, videography, interior design, content creation, or another visually creative field can be a bonus, but we’re primarily looking for the right person—we can teach you the photography.

What You’ll Do

Travel to residential and commercial properties throughout your assigned service area
Meet and communicate with real estate agents and homeowners
Provide an exceptional client experience while representing Shaw Media
Photograph properties using the techniques and systems we train you on
Capture additional real estate media, including video and drone, once trained
Pay close attention to composition, angles, lighting, and details
Follow Shaw Media’s established shooting process to maintain consistent quality
Manage your daily schedule and arrive at appointments on time
Organize and upload media after completing your shoots
Communicate with our team when questions or unexpected situations arise

Requirements

Live in or near the Idaho Falls area
Reliable transportation and willingness to drive to appointments
Valid driver’s license
Reliable computer and iPhone
Strong communication and people skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage your time
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable driving throughout the surrounding area
Willingness to learn and consistently follow Shaw Media’s systems and processes
Weekday availability

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time W-2 position with approximately 15–40 hours per week, depending on your availability and real estate demand.

Our appointments primarily take place on weekdays. We are looking for someone with at least 15 hours of weekday availability, but candidates with greater weekday availability will be strongly preferred.

Your schedule will vary from day to day based on the appointments booked in your area, so flexibility is important.

During the application process, we’ll ask you to provide your typical weekday availability so we can determine whether your schedule is a good fit for the position.

Compensation & Training

Typical earnings after training: $20–$30/hour

Training pay: $15/hour

No photography experience is required. We provide paid, hands-on training and teach you our photography standards, equipment, workflow, client experience, and shooting process.
