Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional banquet dining experiences. As a vital part of our hospitality operation, you will oversee all aspects of banquet food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire your team to craft memorable meals for a variety of events, from corporate gatherings to elegant celebrations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Lead and supervise the banquet kitchen team, managing daily shift operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Plan and develop diverse banquet menus that meet client specifications while maintaining cost efficiency and food quality standards
Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation for all banquet events, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies to minimize waste and optimize resources
Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
Collaborate with event coordinators and service staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality food service during events
Monitor food handling practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety protocols at all times

Experience

Proven banquet experience with a strong background in large-scale food production and event catering
Supervising experience in a culinary or hospitality setting, demonstrating effective team management skills
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and kitchen management best practices
Experience in fine dining environments or upscale restaurant management is highly desirable
Skilled in menu planning, cost control, inventory management, and food service operations
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on motivating teams and maintaining high standards of service excellence
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to adapt menus accordingly within a catering or hospitality context
