First Community Management (FCM) is seeking an experienced, licensed Community Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 10 condominium and homeowner associations throughout the Chicago area.

What You'll Do

Building trusted relationships with Boards of Directors and providing professional guidance on Association operations
Preparing meeting agendas, Board packets, and facilitating Board meetings
Managing Association finances, including reviewing financial statements, processing invoices, monitoring delinquencies, assisting with annual budget preparation, and supporting long-term financial planning
Conducting regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and capital improvement opportunities
Obtaining competitive bids, negotiating vendor contracts, and overseeing maintenance, repair, and construction projects
Ensuring compliance with Association governing documents, the Illinois Condominium Property Act, the Common Interest Community Association Act, and applicable local ordinances
Supervising and supporting on-site staff and managing vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service
Investigating and resolving homeowner concerns, rule violations, and other community issues in a timely and professional manner
Communicating proactively with Boards, homeowners, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects and community initiatives moving forward
Making recommendations that improve operations, protect Association assets, and enhance the resident experience

Qualifications

Required

Illinois Community Association Manager (CAM) License
1+ years of community association or property management experience (City of Chicago experience preferred)
Microsoft Office proficiency
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

CMCA® Certification
Business, real estate, or property management education
