About Allison Izu

Allison Izu is a women's fashion brand based in Hawaii — designed for petite women, Made in USA, built on authenticity and intentional design. We create clothing that helps women see their own beauty, move comfortably, and focus on living with presence and joy. Our customer is loyal, values quality over quantity, and comes back because she trusts us and she can feel the care and concern we put into every design, every story and every connection piece we create.

We're a small, close-knit team. Everyone here wears multiple hats, moves fast, and genuinely cares about the brand and the people we're building it for. We're growing — and this role is a key part of how we scale without losing what makes us special.

The Role

This is the creative and organizational bridge between our brand vision and daily execution. You'll sit with both our Creative Director (Allison) and Brand Manager (Ashley) — absorbing their strategy and vision — and translate it into a content plan, graphics, and clear briefs that will be supported by our Marketing + Ecomm Specialist (Marie) can execute.

You're the person who can be in a brainstorm with Allison and Ashley on Monday, walk out with a full content plan, create the graphics, and be able to collaborate with the team. You make the vision real, while also supporting various marketing tasks, like content creation, editing, creating graphics, etc.

This role also keeps us current — you're actively tracking what's happening in fashion, DTC, and social media, filtering it through our brand lens, and bringing relevant ideas to the team.

What You Own - Creative Content + Planning

Translate owner + brand director's monthly theme and strategy into a weekly content plan across all channels — IG, email, landing pages, FB/Google ads, You tube and pinterest
Break the plan into specific, executable briefs for specialist to implement (for certain channels) — what to build, when, with what assets
Ensure every piece of content connects back to the customer journey and the brand's deeper purpose
Own the content calendar detail in the Ultimate Marketing Calendar, brand's marketing planner and calendar

Graphics + Visual Content

Create on-brand graphics for various social media posts, Stories, email headers, landing page sections, and FB/Google ad creatives
Work from the brand's visual direction and brand standards — strong eye for what fits and what doesn't
Maintain visual consistency across all channels
Tools flexible — strong aesthetic judgment matters more than specific software

Trend + Brand Research

Actively follow fashion, DTC e-commerce, and social media trends
Filter what's relevant for Allison Izu — not every trend applies, and knowing the difference is part of the job
Be open to share new ideas or trends that you’re seeing that could connect to our community.
Research competitor and aspirational brands — what's working, what we can learn from

Content Ideation + Brainstorming

Participate actively in weekly planning meetings — come with ideas that align with the brand, not just questions
Think in stories — every piece of content should feel like part of a larger narrative
Bring the brand's values into every creative decision — this isn't just pretty content, it has purpose

Must have:

3–5 years experience in creative content, graphic design, and/or marketing — ideally in fashion or DTC e-commerce
Strong visual eye — you know what looks good and you know what looks like the brand
Experience creating content for Instagram, email, and/or digital advertising
Ability to move between big-picture thinking and detailed execution in the same day
Strong written communication — you can translate a verbal conversation into a clear written brief
Organized — you manage multiple deadlines without dropping things
Genuine interest in fashion, women's clothing, and intentional design
Comfortable in a small team environment — you don't wait for a detailed process, you help build it

Strong plus:

Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, or Meta Ads Manager
Experience working directly with a founder or creative director
Understanding of customer journey and funnel thinking — why content exists, not just what it looks like
Based in Hawaii or strong ties to the community

You understand that creative work is measurable:

You're curious about how content performs — not just how it looks
You know the difference between a post that gets likes and a post that drives saves, clicks, and purchases
You can look at basic analytics — open rates, CTR, saves, ROAS — and understand what they're telling you about the content
You use performance data to inform your next creative decision — not just to report what happened
You don't need to be an analytics expert — but you need to care whether the work is working

This role is not right if:

You need a fully defined process before you can start
You prefer working independently without collaboration
You're more executor than thinker — this role requires both
You see content as just filling a calendar rather than telling a story

This is a role with real creative ownership at a brand that means something. You'll work directly with a founder who has a clear vision and a plan for growth — and you'll have the autonomy to bring your own creative thinking to the table every week. As the team grows, this role grows with it.
