Full Job Description

WorkThe School-BasedMaryland Family Resource, Inc. is an accredited outpatient mental health center that provides a continuum of mental health & rehabilitation services for children, adolescents, & adults with psychiatric disorders in Prince George's County, MD and DC.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

School-Based Mental Health Therapist (Full-Time Employment)

The School-Based Mental Health Therapist position requires you to conduct individual therapy in a school setting, collaborate with school personnel consistently and submit notes and create treatment plans.

MFR offers competitive compensation, a flexible work environment and the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults. In addition, we are an approved CEU provider for the State of MD Board of Social Work Examiners. We provide regular, free CEU training in evidence based practices to our staff. Annual Salary: $68,000.00 - $82,000.00 (Salary is determined by the level of licensure and the school assignment)
2 Weeks Additional Paid Vacation during school summer break

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct mental health services to include intake assessment, individual/family/group therapy, and crisis intervention to assigned consumers.

2. Maintain regular contact with the parent/guardian of each consumer (if appropriate)

3. Maintain clinical paperwork for all assigned consumers (i.e. Progress Notes, treatment plans, status letters, discharge summaries, etc.)

4. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and clinical supervision.

5. Provides consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues of consumers (as appropriate)

6. Ensures the confidentiality of consumer information for the assigned caseload.

7. Conducts group therapy as necessary

8. Participates in the collection of mental health information and student outcomes data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided.

9. Provides complete and timely documentation to support services rendered.

10. Maintains weekly productivity requirements.
