Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Customer Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the commercial operations of Sierra Pacific Supply. This position manages the complete lifecycle of customer orders, including quotations, order entry, customer communication, and cross-functional coordination with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Quality. The role serves as a critical member of the Commercial Team and will be assigned customer accounts and responsibilities based on business needs, workload, and demonstrated capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage the complete lifecycle of customer orders, including quotations, order entry, and customer communications.

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts regarding order status, lead times, backorders, and shipment details.

Receive and process customer RFQs and maintain customer quotes within the Sierra ERP system.

Collaborate with Purchasing, Operations, Quality, and Accounting to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Research and resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, returns, and customer concerns.

Maintain accurate customer records, order notes, and communication logs within company systems.

Support Sales Representatives by providing order details, pricing clarification, and account support.

Participate in cross-training initiatives to provide backup support to the Commercial Team.

Assume additional customer account responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Education & Experience

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Minimum two years of experience in customer service, inside sales, order management, sales support, or administrative roles.

Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, aerospace, or supply chain environments is preferred.

Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams.

Technical Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Experience using ERP and CRM systems for order management and customer communications.

Familiarity with inventory management, quoting, and order fulfillment processes.

Understanding of shipping methods, freight terms, and customer delivery requirements.

Familiarity with technical documentation and customer specifications is preferred.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager or other designated management personnel and works closely with members of the Commercial, Purchasing, Operations, Quality, and Accounting teams.

Compensation

Base Salary: $52,000 annually.

This position is eligible to participate in company-wide bonus programs in accordance with company policy. Sierra Pacific Supply offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
